The Ring of Sauron

John 4:3-42

— Whoever drinks this water will thirst again. But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.

What is despondency?

The absence of joy. When nothing seems to have meaning. Senseless suffering.

When it seems like this state is forever and cannot be avoided or overcome. When it seems that no matter what you do, everything will end badly.

For one who lives by their Divine Source, there can be no despondency.

We must remember Jesus, for there is no one further from despondency.

Despondency is round, without beginning or end, like the Ring of Sauron. Closed in on itself.

Joy is the arrow of love, shot towards the Goal.
