The Jest of Obedience

There was such a great joke just now! And I almost forgot it)!

I promised Him to finish some drawings, so I came to the computer in the evening. Upon starting up, the first thing I saw in the browser was an open tab with the diary of St. Faustina. I immediately got distracted by it and instead of drawing, I sat down to read. Literally a couple of minutes later, the computer flickered and turned off).

I looked at the turned-off computer, smiled, realised I needed to keep my promise and get back to drawing. Then I leaned back in my chair, glanced at the window where yesterday my fly was buzzing, and half-jokingly addressed Him: “What if this shutdown wasn’t a sign from You at all? How can I be sure to understand correctly? I have no idea what I’m asking, but listen, maybe... Why do You never speak to me with a voice, like to St. Faustina? :) It would probably be more specific and clear what exactly to do compared to the language of events... Or does this require a different state of mind and soul?”

And then bang! The computer turned on by itself and interrupted my thoughts!😂

I burst out laughing😅. “Alright,” I thought, “the language of events it is. I’ll deal with the voice some other time😄. Back to drawing.”

It’s hard to imagine the degree of condescension in this situation and the greatness of the privileges we are given. Dust suggests to the Creator how best to communicate with it and exchanges jokes😆. And the Creator not only tolerates all this but even responds to the jokes)).

I made a couple of notes in my diary about this event.

And then something amazing happened, I instantly forgot about this situation and buried myself in the diary again. And only when the computer turned off again did I sit down to draw, without recalling what had happened at all! And only later, much later, did I remember how it all happened and how amazingly the mind worked, discarding these memories.
